Welcome To Riverside

The City of Riverside’s downtown revitalization project began construction this spring.

The project will put new facades, windows and doors on six downtown buildings, City Administrator Cole Smith said.

Three-quarters of the project’s total cost, which is around $1.2 million, will be covered by outside funding sources according to Smith.

“The project as a whole is about $1.2 million for that downtown revitalization project, however $590,000 of that comes from a federal grant, that’s roughly half, and then the other quarter another $315,000 comes from the building owners themselves, and then the city, we’ve put in $315,000.”

Smith said construction began recently and he expects it to be completed later this year or early 2026.
