A high speed chase ended in Kalona last night. At approximately 8:24 p.m. the vehicle was reportedly traveling northbound on Highway 1 towards Kalona and came to a stop at Highway 1 and Highway 22 in Kalona. Jordan David Sterba, 26, of Wayland, was arrested for felony eluding, operating while intoxicated second offense, no valid driver’s license, open container, reckless driving and careless driving. According to the Washington County Communication’s office, Sterba was going 93 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone.

Also arrested was 26-year-old William Lackender of Kalona for public intoxication first offense. And 23-year-old Gabriel Epley of Kalona was cited for open container.
