Washington School Board Members have approved nearly $450,000 worth of cuts for next fiscal year. More than half of those cuts are to the district’s teaching staff. Board members hope to save nearly $170,000 by downgrading certain insurance packages and more than $80,000 in cuts to support staff. The reductions were approved this week during a special meeting.
