Two Washington residents are among a group of high school officials being recognized for their years of service to the Iowa High School Athletic Association (IHSAA). The IHSAA is set to hold their Annual Officials Banquet and Recognition Ceremony tomorrow evening in Des Moines.

One-hundred-eighty-two high school referees are receiving awards, including Dale Torpey and Fran Stigers of Washington. Torpey is among the 28 officials being recognized for 35 years of service. Stigers is being honored for his 25 years of work.

The 21st Annual Iowa High School Athletic Association’s Officials Banquet and Recognition Ceremony begins at 7 p.m. tomorrow evening at Hy-Vee Hall in Des Moines.
