The Riverside City Council will consider purchasing a new fire truck Monday.
Bids are currently being accepted for one of the Riverside Fire Department’s existing trucks.
Money raised through the sale, a $125,000 Washington County Riverboat Foundation grant, $300,000 budgeted by the city, and $105,000 in donations given to the newly formed Riverside Emergency Services Association will be used to pay down the loan for the new truck.
If the resolution to purchase the truck passes, the fire department will place the order for the 107 foot ladder truck, which will cost approximately $755,000.
