A Washington County couple was recently inducted into the 4-H Hall of Fame. Shirley and the late Harold Bohr were thanked for their years of volunteering with 4-H.

Over the years Harold was a member of the Washington County Fair Board, served as beef superintendent and served as an auctioneer at the livestock auction. Shirley started the Bucket of Junk contest and auction, where 10 groups receive identical pieces of junk that are then transformed into sculptures. She’s also helped in the open class division and organized the twin contest for several years.

This year 125 Iowa 4-H volunteers from 91 counties were inducted.
