Washington is going to receive another dose of winter weather. Heavy rain and snow are in the forecast through the weekend. Up to two inches of snow are expected beginning Friday evening. This will be the first snowfall of 2016. According to the National Weather Service, since July 1st, Washington has received 7.6 inches of snow, about half an inch below normal.
Temperatures so far this January have been about two degrees above normal with the average at 23.7 degrees. The mercury is expected to fall below zero over the weekend. Listen to KCII for weather updates.
