The City of Riverside challenged citizens to light up the city with a Christmas light contest. City Clerk Becky LaRoche said, everyone really brought their A-game for all three categories: Griswold for over the top use of lights and decorations, innovative with best use of technology, and traditional lighting. When judging was complete the winners were announced. Kari Ford won the Griswold category, Kevin Miller won for most innovative, and Kevin Kiene won the traditional category. Each winner won $250. LaRoche says the contest will likely expand next year due to tremendous participation.
