Practice has paid off for the Highland and Keota large group speech teams. Highland traveled to Wapello and had two groups selected to advance to the state contest- improv and the radio broadcast group.
Keota had a banner weekend at the District Large Group contest in Pella with seven of nine groups advancing to the state contest. Groups earning Division 1 ratings are: readers theatre, two improv groups, three in ensemble acting, and the choral reading group. The teams will next perform on Saturday at the state competition at Cedar Rapids Kennedy High School.
