Three members of the Highland Huskies girls’ basketball team (18-6 overall) were recognized among the best players in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference North. Senior Cheyanne Adamson, junior Kelsey Hora, and freshman Ali Stokes occupy three of the nine spots on the first team all-conference squad.
Adamson, a four-year varsity player, ended her career as the team’s leading facilitator, dishing out 100 assists. She also finished second on the team in scoring (367), rebounds (171) and steals (87).
Hora was two points shy of scoring 400 points during her junior campaign, the most produced by a Huskies player this year. Her 98 steals were tops on the team and one behind Pekin’s Beth Atwood for the most in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference.
Stokes became Highland’s top rebounder in her first season of varsity basketball action. Her 269 total rebounds was nearly 100 more than anyone else on the team. Her 31 blocks ranks second on the team behind senior Brianna Davis (49).
Davis was named as Highland’s lone second team all-conference performer. She ended her high school basketball career third on the team in rebounds (129), and fourth in scoring (148).
Junior Amy Schnoebelen and freshman Abbie Miller represented the Huskies on the honorable mention all-conference team.
Highland ended the season with an overall record of 18-6, a three-win improvement from last year.
