WACO Warrior girls basketball received postseason accolades this week with three players named to Southeast Iowa Superconference All-Conference teams.
The Warrior’s Halle Kissell was a second team all-conference selection. Kissell, a junior, led WACO in scoring at nine points per game, and also held the team lead with 174 rebounds, fourth best in the superconference north division.
Kiana Miller was an honorable mention all SEISC selection. Miller, a sophomore, averaged seven points per game, second on the team, and finished the season with 37 rebounds to go along with 33 assists. WACO’s Kasey Sutton also received honorable mention recognition for her season. Sutton, a junior, averaged four points per game for the Warriors. She also recorded 32 assists, 48 steals and 49 rebounds this season. The WACO girls finished the year with an overall record of 8-16, they were 4-12 in the superconference north division, good for seventh place. WACO ended their season in the second round of regionals, falling to No. 4 in class 1A Burlington, Notre Dame 75-30.
