Students at Keota Elementary will continue to celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss this week. Last Wednesday was the birthday of the popular author and students have been celebrating since. Last Wednesday was dress as your favorite Dr. Seuss character day, Thursday students were asked to Drop Everything and Read Dr. Seuss books in the morning. Students got to pose for pictures with characters for the authors books on Friday. Today students will participate in Move It Monday with Dr. Seuss themed books and tomorrow students are encouraged to bring their favorite Dr. Seuss book and a snack.
Keota Elementary Principal Beth McBride says students have really gotten into the spirit of Dr. Seuss and have been having fun and reading all week. McBride adds she is making her way around the school reading her Dr. Seuss favorites to students in every class.
