The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is now in 31 Iowa counties, including Johnson, Keokuk, Henry, and Jefferson. The Washington Tree Committee, Washington County Extension, and Trees Forever are holding an informational meeting so Washington County residents can be prepared for the pest when it comes. The meeting will cover EAB basics, what it means for our ash trees, management options and what tree species you should consider planting. Presenters will be Hannah Howard, Trees Forever Field Coordinator, and Andy Dahl, University of Iowa Arborist.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, March 17, at 6:30 p.m. at the Washington County Extension Office.
