A full agenda awaits the Washington City Council for their meeting tonight. The council will consider a funding request from the YMCA of Washington County. According to a memo from Washington City Administrator Brent Hinson in the meeting packet, the YMCA is trying to raise a total of $10.8 million for a new YMCA and they have raised about $6 million. The YMCA is now asking if there is a possibility to have a voted referendum for the project. According to the memo, the maximum referendum the City could afford to do and keep an acceptable debt ratio is $3 million.

The council will also consider an engineering agreement for Well #6, a task order at the water plant, and requests for the Demon Dash on April 23rd, a beer run 5K on May 20th, and the Kewash Half Marathon on May 21st. The regular session meeting begins at 6 p.m. in council chambers.
