Something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue – 130 years of weddings in Washington County will be featured at this Sunday’s historical society open house. The Conger House Museum will be open Sunday afternoon from 1 to 4 p.m. and the theme is “Getting Hitched” with local pieces from weddings. The traditions over the years will be on display ranging from the 1840’s to the 1970’s. Items on display will include wedding toppers and variety of dresses, including early colorful dresses to modern white dresses.
The Conger House Museum has a variety of exhibits in its 13 rooms, featuring a variety of artifacts highlighting local history, from the prairie to the railroad.
