The Sigourney Savage baseball team dropped their class 1A district opener Tuesday night to North Mahaska 6-2 at BGM.

The Warhawks scored once in the first and twice in the third inning to open up a 3-0 lead. Sigourney battled back with a pair of runs in the fourth to get within 3-2 but North Mahaska put together a three run fifth to take back control of the game and finish out the win. With the loss the Savages end their season at 6-16. Seniors Cody Cundiff, Jordan Albert, and Peyton Crawford wrapped up their Sigourney careers in the loss.
