In 2015, Washington County had just over 4,000 E911 calls. According to data gathered from Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management, US Census Bureau 2010 Census and LSA Calculations, Washington County had 4,015 calls or 18.5% calls per capita. Most of Washington County’s neighboring counties had fewer E911 calls including 1,159 in Keokuk County, 2,211 in Louisa County, 2,752 in Jefferson County and 3,786 in Henry County. Iowa County was slightly higher at 4,316 calls and Johnson County had over 36,000. The county with the highest number of calls was Polk County at 193,602 calls, followed by Scott County with nearly 95,000. For the full data click here.
