Kalona native and Fairfield resident Matt Stutzman, also known as the Armless Archer, has safely arrived in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for the 2016 Paralympic Games. This will be Stutzman’s second time at the paralympics. He won the silver medal in London four years ago, and has aspirations for gold this time around. Stutzman, who participates in the Men’s Individual Compound Open, will take the range on Wednesday, September 14th. While he waits to compete, Stutzman does plan on doing one thing as a tourist: he’d like to put his feet in the Rio sand. The opening ceremonies are Wednesday, September 7th.
