At their September meeting, the Washington County Conservation Board reviewed and discussed the user fees for their facilities. Conservation Director Steve Anderson said the board has a number of things they charge money for, including shelter reservations and camping fees, and each year they research similar fees charged throughout the region for comparable facilities. At the meeting, they decided their fees were well in line with the rest of the region, so they will not be changing them for the 2017 season. For example, renting shelter one costs $40 per day, and the lodge costs $50. Both facilities require a $50 deposit that is refundable after use. Washington County Conservation will begin accepting reservations for next year on October 15th.
