Iowa State Patrol arrested a man and brought him to the Washington County Jail Monday. According to the Washington County Communications office, at 6:24 p.m., 35-year-old Cecil Alonzo Austin of Keokuk was taken to the jail for multiple offenses and two warrants from different states. One warrant was for probation violation for the original charge of theft in the third degree out of Keokuk County with bond at $5,000. The second was for burglary with a Rock Island, Illinois, warrant and bond was set at $50,000. Austin was also charged for driving under suspension, open container, possession of drug paraphernalia and speed.
