The Kalona Public Library recently unveiled its newest program for kids, and it may involve bunny slippers. Youth Services Librarian Shawna Riggins explains, “We have a pajama story time that I’ve started doing. It’s the first Monday of the month at 7 p.m. It’s just an opportunity for kids of any age to come in their pajamas with their families. And we just read bedtime-themed stories and do activities. I wear pajamas too, so it’s a really fun little session that we get to do once a month.” The next session will be on Monday, January 9th, because the library will be closed on January 2nd. For more information about the programs at the Kalona Public Library, listen to the In Touch with Southeast Iowa interview with Riggins, which can be found at KCIIRadio.com.
