Anyone in the area, families and individuals, are welcome to a free community Christmas dinner this Sunday. The Washington Church of God is hosting their annual dinner with ham, turkey and all of the trimmings. Pastor Dean Elmore says it’s grown over the last 20 years. He says they host the dinner so nobody has to be alone on Christmas Day. Last year they served over 150 meals. The meal will begin at noon and will be served through 2 p.m. They also deliver meals for those who can’t make it out.

Elmore adds they do ask people to call ahead of time so they can make sure to prepare enough food, call 653-5678 and leave your name and phone number along with how many people are in your group. Although, if you don’t make a reservation, you’re still welcome to attend the community meal.
