The Washington County Board of Supervisors will consider space needs for county departments and swear in a new county attorney at their meeting Tuesday. The building needs came up at the January 17th meeting when the Washington County Board of Health recommended to the supervisors that they rent-to-own space. The building under consideration is going to be renovated by Hobart Historic Restoration (HHR) and is the former McCleery Calendar Factory. HHR has rehabilitated about a dozen historic buildings and will be updating this one to either commercial space or residential units. For public health to move there, a bond referendum would not be needed.

Also on the agenda is the swearing in of John Gish as the Washington County Attorney, personnel change requests in three departments, and property tax abatement and suspension. The meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Washington County Courthouse.
