Anyone can legally sell morel mushrooms in the state of Iowa if they become certified. The three-hour certification class that covers identifying morels and false morels. This aids in preventing people from being poisoned by eating mushrooms that are misidentified as morels. The certification to sell lasts for three years, and it is open to people from out-of-state. The workshops will be held April 1st, 8th, and 15th at Iowa State University. For registration information click here.
