Departmental budgets will be discussed in multiple work shops this week with the Washington County Board of Supervisors. In total there will be nine workshops from Monday through Friday afternoon to work on the county’s budget. At their regular meeting Tuesday, the board will again discuss space needs and the possibility of Washington County Public Health moving to the former McCleery Calendar Factory. The building is going to be rehabilitated by Hobart Historic Restoration. Also at Tuesday’s meeting, the supervisors will consider an Enhance Iowa grant application from the City of Kalona, the pre-disaster mitigation grant program, equipment purchases, and the fiscal year contract law enforcement. The meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse Tuesday.
