A two-time Pulitzer Prize winning cartoonist who has a local lake named after him, will come to life on the stage of the Washington Area Performing Arts and Events Center. Jay N. “Ding” Darling will be portrayed by professional actor Tom Milligan. The presentation will talk about Darling’s early years in Sioux City, and his journey as an editorial cartoonist and the introduction of The Duck Stamp and the National Wildlife Federation. “A Visit with Ding Darling” will be on the stage March 26th at 2 p.m. and the event will benefit American Legion Post 29, to support local veterans and their families. Tickets are $10.
