Coming off of a 14-18 season, the Winfield-Mt. Union volleyball team will power through the 2017 campaign with a nucleus of seniors leading the charge.
Six seniors make up the Wolves roster with three of them seeing significant time last season. Lexee Hartsock returns as the kill leader from a year ago with 135 on 1.63 kills per set. She will also provide a force defensively with 45 total blocks in 2016. Pearl Krieger-Coble returns as an offensive threat and looks to build off her 124 kills last year. Lauren Jamison is the final experienced veteran, leading the team in 2016 in assists with 261. The team will have some shoes to fill defensively losing their top three players that had the most digs last season. Kreiger-Coble is the top returner in that category with 142. Molly Jennings, Dakota Haines, and Maci Richardson rounds out the senior class that saw limited time last fall.
The Wolves’ season kicks off Thursday when they travel to West Burlington.
