So far this year, hunters have harvested 23,049 deer in Iowa.
According to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, there have been 291 recorded deer harvests in Washington County, 121 of those were does. In 2016, 1,423 deer were harvested in Washington County. It is currently bow season until December 1st, followed by shotgun season, late muzzleloader, and another bow season.
So far this year, Clayton County in northeast Iowa has had the most deer harvested this year at 882, including 518 antlered bucks. In the KCII-listening area, Johnson County has had the most at 436 deer.
