The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys and girls cross country teams had a big season on the course and in the classroom in 2017.

The Mid-Prairie boys and girls both earned the Distinguished Award from the state this week. To earn the accolade the team GPA must be 3.25 or above. The Golden Hawk boys had a team GPA of 3.45 while the Mid-Prairie girls had a team mark of 3.66. On the course the Golden Hawk girls won the class 2A state championship for the first time in program history, the Mid-Prairie boys followed up their 2016 state team title with a state runner-up finish in 2017.
