Four people were injured in a two-vehicle wreck in Washington Wednesday evening.

According to the Washington County Communications Office, two cars collided at East Washington Street and South 9th Avenue, in front of the Conger House at about 5:15 p.m. Washington County Ambulance transported one person to the University of Iowa Hospital and a second ambulance transported three people to the Washington County Hospital. The two drivers involved were Todd Franzen of Washington and James Stout of Washington. Stout was cited for failure to yield on a left turn.

As heard on KCII Wednesday night, traffic was blocked for some time while crews worked at the scene and cleared debris from the roadway. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
