Two Riverside parents charged in the death of their infant daughter have both pled not guilty.
According to court records on Thursday, 29-year-old Ambrashia Chrzan gave a written plea of not guilty, and 36-year-old Anthony McCoy gave a written plea of not guilty on November 11. Chrzan and McCoy are each being held on a $200,000 cash-only bond at the Washington County Jail. They were charged with child endangerment resulting in death, a Class B felony on October 19 and were taken into custody. Hearings to review a request of bond reduction for each McCoy and Chrzan are scheduled for November 22. On November 9, 2016, 17-month-old Avery McCoy was found unresponsive in her crib. An autopsy ruled Avery’s death a homicide and the cause of death was undetermined, while malnutrition and neglect significantly contributed to the death.
