The Keota girls’ basketball team saw improvements in their 2017-18 campaign and a big reason why was their all conference selections in Addison Sprouse and Addison Swanson.

Sprouse was named to the second team in the South Iowa Cedar League. The junior was fifth in scoring in the SICL averaging 14 points a game while shooting at a 39% clip from behind the arc. She was also a sharp shooter from the line making it 76% of the time to rank first in the conference for players with at least 100 attempts. Sprouse also led the team with 103 rebounds, 50 steals, and nine blocks on the year.

Swanson was recognized as honorable mention. The sophomore was second on the team in scoring with 5.1 points a night, making 43% of her shots. She also collected 3.5 rebounds a contest, had 22 assists, and six blocks on the season.

Keota finished the season with a 3-19 record.
