In fewer than 100 days, the Washington County Fairgrounds will be bustling with activity for the 2018 Washington County Fair.

Washington County 4-H Coordinator Amy Green shares that students have begun work on their county fair projects, “We have a lot of kids who have been a part of some of our workshops and they have been turning those into projects. We have some kids who have been doing some things at school that have spurred their interest to do that a little bit more, do something a little bit different for projects. A lot of our livestock kids have already started, they have those, some of those have been going since September potentially. So yes, the kids are getting busy and as they continue to get closer to the end of school their minds are thinking about that more and more.” This year Washington County has 396 students in 4-H and 162 Clover Kids.

This year’s fair will be held July 15-20. Grandstand events include a rodeo, mud run, motocross, and demolition derby. Also, a traveling September 11th exhibit will be on the fairgrounds during part of the fair.
