Tuesday, Washington and Mid-Prairie renew their rivalry on the soccer pitch when the Demon girls host the Golden Hawks.

Washington opened the season last week, falling to the Keokuk Chiefs at home by a 3-1 score. Jessica Hora scored the lone goal for Washington in the loss.

Mid-Prairie is opening their season tonight. The Golden Hawks were 5-10 a season ago. The Hawks are young this year, looking to replace 26 of their 31 goals scored last year. Maya Hall is the leading returner on offense with a pair of goals in 2017. Elizabeth Baker led the team last year with four assists. Mid-Prairie is also looking to replace Kirsten Duwa in goal who made 107 saves last season.

These two teams met a year ago with the Golden Hawks taking a 10-0 win. Action begins at 4:30 at the Washington Soccer Complex.
