Four area girls track teams make the trip to Fort Madison Tuesday for the Pen City Relays.
The Washington Demon girls track team was last in action Thursday at the Demon Co-Ed Relays at Case Field. Washington finished fourth with 85 points. The Demons were led by Hannah Anderson who was a triple gold medalist on the night, winning the 100, 200 and long jump at the meet.
The Lone Tree girls were last on the track at the West Burlington Falcon Relays. They were fifth of six teams with 50 points. The Lady Lions had two championship events with Emily Feldman winning the 100 hurdles and the shuttle hurdle team of Holley Johnson, Skylar, Smith, Zoie Simonsen and Feldman.
The Columbus girls last ran at the Demon Co-Ed Relays at Case Field last week. Jenessa Carpenter had the top finish for the Wildcats taking fifth in the 400.
Winfield-Mt. Union was last on the track March 29th at Danville.
Joining those teams tonight in Fort Madison will be Burlington, Cedar Rapids Jefferson, Central Lee, Danville, Fairfield, Illini West, Keokuk, Mediapolis, Mount Pleasant, New London, West Burlington and the Bloodhounds. Action begins this afternoon at 4:30 and continues into the evening at Fort Madison High School.
