The Mid-Prairie and Iowa Mennonite School golf teams will be back on the course tonight when they each host separate dual events at the Kalona Golf Course.
The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks will be in a River Valley Conference dual with the Tipton Tigers. This event was rescheduled from Monday due to snow. The Golden Hawk girls are undefeated in a pair of duals on the season, led by Paige Slabaugh. Slabaugh was medalist in wins over Iowa City Liberty and West Branch with a season average of 44 strokes per nine holes. Tipton comes into the meet led by Alex Hoffman and her 57 average per nine holes.
Iowa Mennonite is hosting Mediapolis in a Superconference dual tonight. The Iowa Mennonite boys are coming off of a sweep of Highland and Lone Tree in a Superconference triangular last week, led by medalist Trevor Leyden with his round of 45. Mediapolis has Noah Samuel leading the way with his 50 average. On the girls side Iowa Mennonite was led in their home meet last week by Lara Kliewer with a round of 67, no team scores were taken. Mediapolis comes into the meet led by Ruthie Jahn and her 48 average per nine holes.
Both meets begin at 4p.m. and continue into the evening at the Kalona Golf Course.
