The Winfield-Mt. Union, Columbus, Sigourney and Keota girls golf teams traveled to New London Monday for their class 1A regional tournament.
Winfield-Mt. Union punched their ticket to the next round with a team runner-up finish, shooting a 410 overall. New London won the team title with a 358. The Wolves were led by Lexee Hartsock and her fifth place individual finish with a 93. Other scores for WMU included Lauren Jamison and Lauren Hagge 105, Sabrina Moody 107, Abbie Cooley 110 and Makenna Mullin 126.
Columbus was fourth in the team standings with a 434. Aubrey Duncan led the Wildcats with an 88 to qualify for the next round as an individual. Other scores for Columbus included Jobie Lekwa 114, Grace Morrison 115 and Kayla Beenen 117.
Sigourney shot 449 as a team, led by Sydney Striegel’s 98. Other scores for the Savages included Madison Schwenke 99, Stacia Hammes 115 and Sidney Morse 137. Keota did not post a team score but saw Lauren Imhoff shoot 113 and Aaliyah Heldman 114.
