The Iowa Mennonite School and Lone Tree softball teams will face off Monday in a class 1A regional playoff game at Lone Tree Monday.
IMS comes into the game with an overall record of 3-15. In their last game they were beaten by Columbus 16-6. On the year, IMS is hitting .269 as a team, led by Avery Blauvelt with a .417 average. In the circle IMS has a team ERA of 8.27, led by Leah Bontrager with an overall record of 1-3 and 9.33 ERA in 21 innings.
Lone Tree enters play with an overall mark of 10-10. Last time out they beat Mediapolis 9-6 on Friday. On the year the Lady Lions are hitting .257 as a team, led by Chloe Jacque with her .482 average. In the circle Lone Tree has a team ERA of 3.69, led by Abby Buckman with a 3.01 ERA in 95 innings and a 6-8 record. These two teams met last year with IMS taking a 5-3 win. The winner of tonight’s game advances to the regional quarterfinals to take on North Mahaska Tuesday.
