Mid-Prairie School District residents chose a new board representative Tuesday.
In a special election held by public petition current board member Emily Uhl was elected with 223 votes over Randy Billups with 123 votes. Three hundred and forty seven residents voted total with 10 voting absentee. Uhl is filling the seat left vacant by George Schaefer, and her term is set to end in 2019. Uhl has served in the vacant seat since she was appointed by the school board on July 9th. Election results are unofficial until a canvassing by the Washington County Board of Supervisors.
