The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk volleyball team had a busy Saturday, playing four matches in their home tournament at Tim Grady Gymnasium in Wellman.
Mid-Prairie started the day with a loss to West Liberty in straight sets 21-6 and 21-6 before rebounding to beat Sigourney 21-15, 15-21 and 15-12. The Hawks then fell to rival Iowa City Regina in straight sets 12-21 and 20-22. Mid-Prairie ended the day with a rivalry win, taking out the Washington Demons 14-21, 21-11 and 15-13. Mid-Prairie was led on the day by Tori Boyse and Myah Lugar each with 10 kills. Abbi Patterson had 32 digs. With the split the Hawks are now 6-7 on the year as they get ready to take on West Branch in Wellman Tuesday.
