The Riverside Casino and Golf Resort officially completed their $11 million renovation with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday.

The casino celebrated the completion of the project with a ceremony, which included a visit and presentation from Hawkeye Broadcaster Gary Dolphin. The renovations began in January and concluded at the beginning of November. The finished work includes new carpeting, wall coverings, chairs, a redesign of the poker room, and a new center bar. General Manager Dan Franz says the motivation behind these renovations were the guests, “We want to give them the best that we can give them. We probably started thinking about this about nine or 10 years in. Time to put a new face on things, a new finish, bring things up to speed. I mean we were building this place in 2005 and at that point it was 2015 it’s time to start thinking about what they want.” Franz adds that they want to focus on celebrating this accomplishment but will be looking to revamp the back of the house for their employees next. The Riverside Casino and Golf Resort opened in 2006.
