The Washington wrestling team traveled to Waukee on Saturday to participate in the Al Garrison Duels, going 2-2 as a team on the day.

The Demons faced off against Johnston, Lincoln and East out of Des Moines, and Liberty North out of Missouri, beating the two latter teams.  The Demons had a few wrestlers go unbeaten on the day, including Walker Ikerd at 120, Garrett Ikerd at 138, Dillan Sanders at 145, David Hora in the 152, Tristin Westphal-Edwards at 182, and Logan Escher at 195.

Saturday’s events move Washington to 12-4 in duels on the season.  Their next action will come after the holiday break when they head to Fort Madison on Jan. 3 for another Southeast Conference duel.  That duel will be broadcast live on KCII with coverage starting at 6:00.
