The Iowa Mennonite School boys and girls came away with a pair of victories in Winfield Friday night in an all-KCII area matchup with the Wolves.

The IMS girls were a winner by a 61-39 score. After a tight first half that saw the score tied at 27 at the break, IMS turned it on in the second half, outscoring the Wolves 34-12 after the break including 15-2 in the fourth quarter to seal the win. Suzanna Yoder led IMS with 36 points in the contest. Yani Gutierrez has a double double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Jenna Buffington had a double double for the Wolves with 14 points and 13 boards. With the win, IMS moves to 4-5 on the year, the loss drops WMU to 2-7.

In the boys game, IMS took a 57-34 win. Iowa Mennonite held an 11-6 lead after one quarter and was up 26-21 at the break. Things stayed tight early in the second half with the Wolves down just seven going to the fourth quarter. In the final frame, IMS opened things up, closing the game on a 17-1 run that lasted the entire frame. Jeremy Niemeyer led IMS with 13 points, Eli Ours added 11. The Wolves got 17 from Jared Arnold. With the win, IMS is now 4-2 on the year and WMU falls to 0-7.
