The Sigourney and Keota basketball teams squared off on Tuesday night, with the Savage girls and Eagle boys picking up the wins.

The girls’ game was first, which the Savages won 40-26.  It was a tight game at halftime, with Sigourney holding onto a six-point lead, but they’d shut the Eagles out in the third quarter to pull away and eventually take the win.  Megan Stuhr and Makenna Hammes had 14 and 10 for Sigourney, respectively.

The boys’ game was next, and the Eagles getting revenge for their season-opening loss to Sigourney in a big way, manhandling the Savages 60-25.  JD Stout led the way with 22 points, and Carson Sprouse continued his consistent output off the bench with 11.

Tuesday’s results move the Sigourney girls to 11-3 and the boys to 6-8.  The Keota girls fall to 6-11, while the boys improve to 9-6.
