The Washington basketball teams traveled to Ottumwa yesterday, with the girls taking the loss and the boys picking up the win against the Bulldogs.
The girls’ game was first, with the Demons falling 63-24. Scoring was a struggle for the Washington girls last night, as the most points they scored in any given quarter was eight. Olivia Pacha had a good game, despite the team’s struggles, putting up seven points and nine rebounds off the bench. The boys would follow with a tight one, taking it by a 60-54 score.
These games move the Demon girls to 6-9 and the boys to 5-7 on the season. They’ll go at it again Friday when they welcome Keokuk to town for a doubleheader. We’ll have live coverage for you on KCII starting with the Washington HyVee Pregame Show at 5:45.
