The Iowa Mennonite School girls basketball team took on Burlington Notre Dame on the road Friday in the 2019 edition of the Southeast Iowa Superconference Shoot Out.

The Nikes posted a 75-55 win. Notre Dame built an early lead in the first half, stretching things to 20-13 midway through the second quarter before IMS responded with an 8-0 run to take a 21-20 lead. The two teams would stay close the rest of the half with the Nikes holding a 28-27 lead going to the break. In the second half, Notre Dame started on a 15-2 run, and IMS was never able to recover, trailing by as many as 26 before eventually falling by 20. The Nikes were an impressive 14 of 19 from long range. IMS was led by Suzanna Yoder with 29 points. Yani Gutierrez finished with 13. With the loss, IMS is now 7-10 on the year as they get ready for Highland Thursday.
