After ice and sleet fell in the area, another winter weather advisory has been issued for the KCII-listening area. The National Weather Service has issued the winter weather advisory until 6 p.m. Thursday. Mixed precipitation is expected late this afternoon through Thursday with ice and sleet accumulations of one- to two-tenths of an inch expected. Winds Thursday may gust as high as 35 miles per hour. The NWS advises that power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice. Travel could be nearly impossible with hazardous conditions during the morning or evening commute.
