Flood warnings have been issued for the Iowa River at multiple locations in the KCII-listening area. According to the National Weather Service, recent snow melt and ice action are producing flooding. Near Lone Tree a flood warning is in effect until Friday morning. Wednesday the river reached 16.1 feet and was falling, flood stage is 15 feet; minor flooding is occurring. A flood warning was also issued for the Iowa River at Oakville through Thursday. Flood stage is 10 feet and as of Wednesday water levels were at 9.7 feet and rising. Minor flooding is forecast. If you see a flooded road, find an alternate route. Turn around, don’t drown.
