With legislation regarding legalized sports betting in Iowa currently being crafted, those at Riverside Casino and Golf Resorts are excited about the possibilities.

General Manager at Riverside Casino and Golf Resorts Dan Franz says he feels like the facilities in Riverside would be an ideal home for a sportsbook, “We have a good infrastructure that already exists. If you want to come and watch the Superbowl or watch the college basketball game or group of games, you can come to Riverside and enjoy a lot of other things on top of that experience of watching the sporting event and placing bets.”

Franz adds that they have a few ideas of how they would manage sports betting, but will create a more concrete plan as the legislation progresses. For sports betting to be allowed at the Riverside Casino and Golf Resorts, the State of Iowa would first have to legalize sports betting and give permission to Iowa Racing and Gaming Facilities to house a sportsbook.
