The WACO boys’ basketball team is riding high right now, winning nine of their last ten games, including four straight.  They’ll look to keep on the winning track and stay alive tonight against Pekin.

The Warriors enter tonight with a 15-4 overall record.  Nik Coble has been a monster on the boards this season, sporting 217 total rebounds (sixth in the state across all classes) to go along with his 17.5 points per game.  Colton Horak has been stellar at finding his teammates all year as well, sitting at ninth in Class 1A in assists with 120 assists.

Pekin, meanwhile, is sitting at a 15-3 overall record.  They’ve got one double-digit scorer in Brandon Millikin, who averages just shy of 17 points per game.  Two of their three losses have come against New London, the top seed in their district, with the other coming early in the season against Highland.

Tonight’s action at Pekin High School is set to begin at 7:00.  The winner of tonight’s game will face either New London or Burlington Notre Dame in the district championship.
